Care After Birth
As quickly as possible after birth, your baby will be placed into your arms, followed by skin-to-skin on your chest. Some babies take to breastfeeding right away. The first hour to two hours following birth is the best time to begin breastfeeding.
This section of the website describes the Golden Hour, skin-to-skin, newborn screening, how to register the birth, and provides helpful tips and information about settling in at home with your new baby.
