The hospitals’ by-laws require that a slate of candidates is put forward to the Board for approval. Consistent with documented governance best practice guidelines, the Board confirms the skill sets and characteristics required in a qualified candidate relevant to predetermined criteria. The performance of Board members interested in an additional term is formally evaluated. Relevant and current information to assist prospective candidates to apply is made available.
